How It Happened
In a game that saw a total of three home runs, six doubles, seven errors, 36 hits, and 29 runs scored, Lebanon Valley couldn't match Hood's output as the Blazers topped the Flying Dutchmen 17-12 in a wild one on Friday afternoon.

Brett Fundell and Glenn Dietrich each homered for the first time this season but their long balls were offset by Josh Gall's first-inning home run and Hood's seven-run sixth inning that broke open a 6-6 tie.
LVC (12-20, 5-14 CC) scored every inning but the first, sixth, and ninth and while the Blazers (9-23, 2-17 CC) scored in just four of the game's nine innings, they posted crooked numbers including three in the first, three in the fourth, seven in the sixth, four in the seventh, in all four.

Trailing 3-0 after one, the Dutchmen tied the game in the third when Fundell's sacrifice fly to left field drove in Zac Edwards. The visitors took the lead for the first time in the top of the fourth when Greg Orlando's ground ball was mishandled at third base, allowing Michael Puglisi to push across.

Hood reclaimed a two-run lead in the bottom of the frame but Fundell's two-run shot over the left field fence tied the game at 6-6 in the top of the fifth.

The Blazers took control of things in the bottom of the sixth when they scored seven runs on five hits, including a two-run double, two walks, and a Dutchmen error. LVC tried to chip away in the seventh with Orlando's bases-loaded walk plating Dietrich and Jonathan Harned's single up the middle driving in Matthew Smarkanic and Puglisi, but Hood answered with four tallies in the bottom half.

Lebanon Valley cut the deficit to 17-12 in the eighth thanks to Dietrich's three-run shot but it proved too little, too late as the Dutchmen failed to push any across in the top of the ninth.
