A fourth-quarter comeback ran out of time as Messiah held off Lebanon Valley for an 11-7 win.
The loss was LVC's first of the Commonwealth Conference season as they had their five-game win streak snapped. Messiah led 10-1 at the end of the third quarter, but LVC's offense awakened for six fourth-quarter goals to give them life.
Klayton Garman opened the scoring 3:01 into the game, but Messiah's face-off dominance and defense helped their offense produce the next 10 goals, holding LVC scoreless for 42:08 before
Matt Lubawski scored nine seconds into the fourth quarter.
Koty Keefer produced LVC's next two goals before Messiah scored a man-down goal midway through the quarter, but Garman hit his second at 6:23 and
Brett Kudlak scored 30 seconds later off a loose ball to make things interesting at 11-6.
LVC tried to find more, but only Lubawski's man-up goal with 1:59 left came to fruition.
Notables- The game was LVC's third annual Crosse Out Cancer day, with proceeds raised going to Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society.
- Keefer, Garman, and Lubawski each had two goals, while
Brett Kudlak scored one with two helpers.
Alex Bushong also had an assist.
- At 4-1 in CC play, LVC is still well-positioned for the postseason if they can take one win out of their final three games (at Widener, at Stevenson, home vs. Albright).
- Messiah won the face-off battle 15-6 as both teams combined multiple takers. That led ot a 34-26 Messiah shots lead (22-7 in the first half).
- After a perfect first half, LVC held Messiah to 6-for-12 on clears in the second half, helping to get the Dutchmen back in the game. LVC was 20-for-24.
- Tyler Goglio led Messiah four four goals and an assist.

Eric Wilcoxson made seven saves in the first half in the loss;
Sam Peters played the entire second half and was solid with four stops in his longest career outing. Sam Stengel earned the win with four first-half saves; Brooks Arnold had seven stops and allowed six goals in the second half for the Falcons.
- LVC held Messiah 0-for-2 on extra-man opportunities to extend their streak to 381:53 without allowing a man-up goal.

Austin Minnich led the defense with two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
