Defense Stifles Lycoming In 7-2 Win

How It Happened
A huge defensive effort and Jeremy Beaver's dominant face-off game carried Lebanon Valley to a 3-0 league start as they beat Lycoming 7-2 on the the road.

Koty Keefer, Brett Kudlak, and Matt Aldridge each scored twice and Matt Lubawski added another to lead the Dutchmen (7-3, 3-0 CC) to an unbeaten Commonwealth Conference start. Beaver turned in another huge face-off performance, winning 10-of-12 to power LVC's offense.

Keefer and Lyco's Thomas Hanson traded first-quarter goals, but the Dutchmen reeled off four straight in the second quarter to take a commanding 5-1 lead. Keefer started the run before Aldridge cashed in an extra-man opportunity from Kudlak. Kudlak then finished the half with two straight, from Lubawski and Alex Bushong.

The third quarter was all LVC as well, with markers from Aldridge and Lubawski, and Lycoming didn't score until there was 2:02 left in the game off Trevor Williams' stick.
