Klayton Garman had a first-half hat trick for the Dutchmen (3-3) as the Monarchs (2-4) led 5-4 at the break, but King's started the third quarter with a pair of man-up goals before
Koty Keefer hit to cut the lead to 7-5. The Monarchs then scored the final three goals of the game, holding LVC scoreless over the final 23:07.

Alex Bushong provided assists.
- Garman's hat trick was his second straight and third of the season. His game included a strike with 0.4 seconds left in the first half.
