How It HappenedLebanon Valley led for just 1:04 in the team's 61-51 road loss to Commonwealth Conference foe Arcadia on Wednesday night.
Trailing by as many as 14 points with 4:10 left to play, the Flying Dutchmen (13-7, 5-7 CC) used a 13-4 run to cut the deficit to five when
Taylor Umbrell knocked down a jumper in the paint with 1:12 remaining. LVC was forced to foul in the final minute and the Knights (11-10, 7-5 CC) went 5-for-6 from the line to put it away.
The Dutchmen trailed 27-24 at intermission and Arcadia scored seven of the second half's first nine points. The Knight advantage ballooned to 50-36 when Maureen Fiocca converted from beyond the arc with 7:53 left.
Bridget Rothert took over for LVC and scored 11 straight during the Dutchmen's late run but it proved too little too late.
Arcadia took its largest lead of the first half at seven with 8:34 remaining. A pair of Rothert free throws and an Umbrell 3-pointer drew the Dutchmen to within one moments before the break.
Lebanon Valley grabbed its only lead of the night when Rothert knocked down a 3-ball to make it 8-5 at the 16:20 mark.
Notables- Lebanon Valley was held to just 51 points by the Knights; 18 points below the Dutchmen's season average (69.0 PPG).
- According to Arcadia's athletic website, the victory Wednesday night was the team's first win over Lebanon Valley in program history.

Bridget Rothert was the only LVC player to reach the double-digit scoring plateau with a game-high 19.
- Four Knights scored at least ten points: Maureen Fiocca (16), Addy Crenny (13), Valerie Dimuro (11), and Dominique Hassinger (10). Crenny recorded a double-double thanks to her game-high 18 rebounds.

Peyton Carper flirted with a double-double, finishing with eight points and a team-best seven boards. She added a team-high four assists.

Taylor Umbrell was the LVC ironman on this night, playing the entire 40 minutes and posting five points and five rebounds.

Kaitlyn Van Tash netted six points off the bench to go along with her six boards.
- Both teams struggled from the field as the Dutchmen finished 18-for-62 (29 percent) and Arcadia shot 20-for-60 (33.3 percent).
- Lebanon Valley's bench outscored the Knights' reserves 14-4 but Arcadia held advantages in rebounds (48-43), points off turnovers (17-12), and second chance points (12-6).

Stat of the Night1-5 – Lebanon Valley's road record against Commonwealth Conference opponents this season. The Dutchmen's lone league victory away from Sorrentino Gymnasium came against Hood last week. In comparison, LVC is 4-2 against CC competition at home this year.  Â
