LVC stayed in contact in the first half with goals by
Klayton Garman and
Matt Aldridge to trail 4-2 at halftime after the visitors took a 3-0 lead, but the Bobcats (2-0) put together a big third despite two goals from freshman
Koty Keefer and Garman's second to lead 12-5 heading into the fourth.
Mason Hoff's first career goal was LVC's only strike of the fourth.

Kevin Masterson relieved him in the fourth quarter.
- Frostburg's Nick Stailey had a superb game with five goals, and Devin Colegrove handed out six assists with a marker.
- The Bobcats led 13-11 on face-offs paced by Eric Geiser's 10-of-16 clip.
Jeremy Beaver was 8-of-18 and
John Kolp 3-of-6 for LVC.
- Frostburg scored the only man-up goal of the game, cashing in once on three chances. LVC was 0-for-6, including a two-up situation late in the first half.
- The Bobcats led 37-25 on shots. LVC committed 22 turnovers to the visitors' 13, and was 12-of-18 on clearances to Frostburg's 14-of-17 clip.
