How It HappenedLebanon Valley suffered its first conference defeat of the season in an 81-71 loss at MAC Commonwealth foe Hood on Saturday afternoon. LVC's recent three-game win-streak came to an end in the process.
The Blazers (6-2, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) broke open a tight game thanks to a key 15-4 run late in the second half. Following a
Travis Conrad 3-pointer that cut the deficit to 59-56 with 8:41 remaining, Hood scored 15 of the next 19 tallies to up its advantage to 75-60 with 2:58 left to play, creating a cushion the Flying Dutchmen (6-4, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) couldn't overcome.
Trailing 38-32 at halftime, LVC hung around early in the second half.
Andy Orr's 3-ball at the 16:35 mark drew the Dutchmen to within two at 43-41 and Lebanon Valley stayed within the 3-to-9 point range until Hood's eventual game-changing run midway through the half.
LVC took its last lead of the day when
Sam Light buried a jumper from beyond the arc to put his team ahead 26-25 with 5:01 remaining in the first half.
Zach Mrozek laid in the game's first points at the 19:38 mark. The Blazers tied it up 56 seconds later and would trail just once more.

Ricky Bugg – Orr has been consistent in the season's early going and Saturday was no different. The sophomore forward paced the Dutchmen with a team-high 22 points, five rebounds, and four blocks. Bugg made the most of his 12 minutes of play against the Blazers. The sophomore reserve scored a season-high eight points on 3-of-4 shooting, including a pair of 3-pointers, to go along with his four assists.
Inside the Numbers- LVC outshot Hood 47.4 percent to 46.2 percent from the field. Lebanon Valley shot 40.7 percent from beyond the arc (11-for-27) compared to 33.3 percent (7-for-21) by the Blazers.

Andy Orr, the Dutchmen's leading-scorer, has scored 20 or more points in each of his last four outings.

Sam Light joined Orr as a double-digit scorer with 13 tallies. He also added four assists.
Travis Conrad dished out a team-high five dimes.

Will Boccanfuso grabbed five boards and swiped a pair of steals.
- The Blazers dominated the glass and outrebounded Lebanon Valley 45-to-26. Hood pulled in 24 offensive rebounds, leading to 28 second-chance points.
- The Dutchmen assisted on 20 of their 27 made field goals.
- LVC's road struggles continued on Saturday. The Dutchmen fell to 1-3 in true road games this season.
- Four Hood players reached the double-digit scoring mark, including the game's top-scorer in Davon Hill. He poured in 28 points. Daniel Wegener added a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
