How It HappenedLebanon Valley upset No. 14 FDU-Florham 73-60 to win the 11th installment of the Rinso Marquette Tournament on Sunday afternoon. The win propelled the Dutchmen's record to 3-1, while the Devils were handed their first loss and now sit at 4-1.
FDU opened up a 13-8 lead with 4:23 left in the first quarter, however LVC ended the quarter on an 8-4 run to take the lead over the Devils at 17-16. 
Lexie Lantz scored the Dutchmen's final eight points of the quarter, providing a spark for LVC's offense.
Early on in the second quarter, the scored stayed close with the Dutchmen ahead 23-22 with 5:55 to go in the half. For the remainder of the quarter, LVC was able to extend the lead and take a 34-28 advantage heading into halftime, as 
Taylor Troutman connected on a layup as time expired.
With 5:38 to go in the third quarter, FDU cut the lead to three at 39-36 when Rachel Groom scored on a layup, but 
Taylor Umbrell answered with a 3-pointer to put the Dutchmen up by six with 4:52 remaining in the third. LVC extended the lead to 12 at 50-38 with 1:43 to go, and went into the fourth quarter ahead by eight at 51-43.
The Dutchmen were only threatened once by the Devils in the fourth, as FDU trimmed the lead to seven at 61-54 with 3:54 to go, but 
Peyton Carper took over, scoring six points in a row for LVC, as the Dutchmen led 67-56 with 2:30 left in the contest. LVC were solid from the free throw line down the stretch, not allowing an FDU comeback, as the Dutchmen went on to win 73-60.
Inside the Numbers - 
Kiely Chaklos paced LVC with 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting and a 7-for-8 line from the charity stripe. She added seven rebounds and dished out a game-high seven assists.
 - Lantz finished with 17 points, while Carper tallied 11 and Troutman notched 10.
 - Shalette Brown scored 19 for the Devils, while Danielle Leguillou added 15 more.
 - LVC outshot FDU 41.9-36.8 percent from the field, but the Devils outrebounded the Dutchmen 45-40.
 - The Dutchmen went to the free throw line 28 times and made 20 shots, while FDU was 6-for-11 as a team from the charity stripe.
All-Tournament TeamShenendoah's Kanesha Foster, Medgar Evers' Danyelle Foster, FDU's Shalette Brown and Alyssa McDonough were all named to the Tournament team. LVC's Lantz and Chaklos were also named to the team, with Chaklos earning MVP honors.
LVC Downs DevilsToday was LVC's first win over a ranked opponent since the Dutchmen's victory over Baruch in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament in the 2012-13 season. The Bearcats were ranked No. 24 at the time.
Turkey BreakLVC has a week off before the Dutchmen travel to Bradford, Pa. to battle Pitt-Bradford next Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
