How It Happened
Lebanon Valley was deadly from 3-point land in the team's 84-72 win over Penn State Abington on day one of the 2015 Rinso Marquette Tournament.

The Flying Dutchmen (2-1) set a program record by knocking down 16 buckets from beyond the arc, topping the previous best of 15 set against Upsala in 1995. Travis Conrad did the most damage for LVC, connecting on seven 3-balls, the fifth-highest single-game total in school history.

Trailing by as many as seven points in the first half, timely baskets from distance helped keep the Dutchmen within striking distance. An 11-1 run capped by a Collin Moore trifecta put LVC out in front 32-29 with 6:03 remaining in the first half and Zach Mrozek's putback at the buzzer made it 43-39 at the break.

Penn State Abington (0-3) cut the deficit to two twice early in the second half but a key 14-2 Dutchmen run capped by Sam Light's old-fashioned 3-point play put the Lions in a hole they couldn't come back from.

Light's free throw with 2:45 left to play gave LVC its largest lead of the night at 80-63 and the team's reserves, including RJ Kupsho, Liam Brennan, Chris Anderson, and Brett Gilbert, held things down until the final buzzer.

Notable Performer
Travis Conrad – The sharpshooting junior shot 66 percent (8-for-12) from the floor on the night, including finishing 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. His first half performance was lights-out as he knocked down his first six attempts, all from downtown, entering the break 6-of-7 from the floor. His 23 points scored were a career-high.
