How It Happened
Travis Conrad's putback of an Andy Orr miss with 17 seconds left gave Lebanon Valley a lead it wouldn't relinquish in the team's 101-98 season-opening victory over Roanoke on day one of Penn State Harrisburg's Tip-Off Tournament presented by Hersheypark.

Conrad knocked down a pair of free throws with eight seconds remaining to cap a clutch, game-ending 10-0 run that sealed the win for LVC (1-0). The crucial scoring stretch erased a 98-91 deficit with 2:19 left to play.

The Dutchmen defense clamped down in the closing moments and Zach Mrozek, Sam Light, and Orr converted layups on three straight possessions to draw within one point with 51 seconds to go. Conrad pulled down a rebound of Cameron Smith's missed layup on Roanoke's next possession before putting home the go-ahead bucket on the other end of the floor.

LVC trailed by as many as eight points in the second half but never allowed the deficit to reach double-digits. Orr burst to life on the offensive end after the break, scoring 20 of his 24 points in the final 20 minutes.

Despite leading by as many as 11 midway through the first half, Roanoke (0-1) took a slim 50-47 advantage into halftime. The Dutchmen led for just 32 seconds in the first half when Mrozek tallied the contest's first points, converting a layup moments after the opening tip off an assist from Kyler Burke.
