How It HappenedLebanon Valley left no doubt against Hood on Tuesday afternoon in a 7-0 trouncing over the Blazers. The Dutchmen improved to 12-4, 5-2 MAC COM, while the Blazers fell to 4-13, 0-7 MAC COM. Before the game, seniors

Teanna Shutt wasted hardly any time getting the Dutchmen on the scoreboard. Just over three minutes into action,
Meghan Ross ran down the left side and crossed it to Shutt who put it home for the early 1-0 LVC lead. In the 19th minute, it was Ross' turn as she scored off a
Laura Zimmermann assist to make it 2-0. About six minutes later,
Sammy Bost kicked a shot off of a Hood player who was trying to clear the ball, but it found the back of the net for a 3-0 advantage.
Later in the opening half, Ross netted another when
Emmie Santoleri crossed it from the left side and Ross provided a nifty move and was able to kick it through the goalkeepers legs for the 4-0 lead. In the closing minutes of the first,
Katie Goldsmith tried to cross the ball and again it hit off a Blazers' defender and into the back of the night, giving LVC a 5-0 lead heading into the break.
In the 57th minute, Ross found the back of the net for the third time to secure the hat trick with an assist from
Johnna Garbrick. On a day where she was celebrated, Cummings scored in the 63rd minute when she lofted a ball from 20 yards out which bent into the left side of the net, over the goalie's head.
