How It Happened
Lebanon Valley picked up its second MAC-Commonwealth victory of the season on Saturday afternoon on Homecoming Weekend. The Dutchmen shutout Alvernia 1-0, thanks to an Ian McGinnis goal in the 67th minute.

After a long scrum in the middle of the box, McGinnis eventually was able to put a good foot on it and beat the goalie to his right side for the LVC goal.

Each team had several chances throughout the game, however both defenses and goalies were playing great defense. The Crusaders' best chance came in the closing minutes of the first half when Alvernia broke out on a 2-on-1. The forward shot it from the left side but Cam Avery made a diving stop to preserve the 0-0 tie.

Inside the Numbers
 - Alvernia recorded 18 shots (seven on net), while the Dutchmen tallied 11 total shots and four on goal.
 - The Crusaders led in corner kicks at 8-5.
 - Tyler Skye, Jake Herron, McGinnis, and Matt Prince each registered a shot for LVC.
 - Avery picked up his second shutout of the season and turned away seven shots for the Dutchmen.

MAC-Commonwealth Standings
LVC improved its record to 5-7, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth and joined Lycoming and Messiah as the only two-conference win teams in the MAC Commonwealth.

Who's Next?
The Dutchmen continue MAC-Commonwealth action on Wednesday with a home match against Arcadia at 4 p.m.
