How It HappenedLebanon Valley dropped a 1-0 decision in overtime to fellow MAC-Commonwealth opponent Arcadia on Wednesday afternoon at Herbert Field. The Dutchmen fell to 5-8, 2-2 MAC Commonwealth, while the Knights improved to 8-3-3, 2-0-1 MAC Commonwealth.
Just under three minutes into the first overtime period, Arcadia's Bradley McKim received a pass from David Colombo about 15 yards from LVC's box. McKim dribbled for a few seconds and ripped the ball over a diving
Cam Avery and into the right backhand corner of the net for the game winner.
Early on in the match, the Dutchmen applied great pressure and led in scoring chances for the first part of the game, but were unable to finish off their good opportunities. In the second half, there were few chances for either team in a very evenly-matched game, resulting in the overtime.
Inside the Numbers - The Dutchmen held the slight edge in shots at 10-9 and were ahead in corner kicks at 4-1.
