How It HappenedA wild finish with both teams scoring in the final second saw Albright hold off a Lebanon Valley comeback to win 78-77.
Kevin Agnew made the go-ahead layup with 0.4 seconds remaining, but the Dutchmen bench, thinking the game was over, ran onto the court and LVC was assessed a technical foul. DeJuan Smith made both free throws to win the game.
It spoiled a gritty comeback by the Dutchmen, who trailed virtually the entire game and were down as many as 14 in the second half. LVC closed the gap with an 8-2 run in the final minute, keyed by
Zach Mrozek's three-pointer with 21 seconds left and then a quick layup by Orr to tie. Omari Ringgold made one of two free throws to go ahead, but Evan Dunn snagged the offensive board and was fouled. He missed his chance, and Agnew put back his missed jumper with 0.4 seconds remaining for what LVC thought was the buzzer-beater.Â
