SCRANTON, Pa. - Lebanon Valley exploded for six goals as they routed Marywood 6-0 in a bounceback win.
The Dutchmen (2-1) scored three goals in each half, starting with
Teanna Shutt's first career marker only 44 seconds in, as they dominated the game with a 19-5 shots advantage.
Sammy Bost scored twice, her second brace in three games, while
Johnna Garbrick,
Amanda Douglass, and Laura Zimmerman added goals.
Meghan Ross had two assists.
Shutt opened the scoring with a rebound putback at the edge of the box, and Garbrick made it 2-0 when Zimmerman passed it back at 5:54. Douglass hit her second of the season when Ross found her in front of net in the 26th minute.
Bost opened the second half with a give-and-go from Ross, then added her second on the hour with a strip off a defender in front of goal. Bost then dished LVC's sixth goal off to Zimmerman, who converted in the 70th minute for her first of the season.
Taylor Reinhold picked up her second clean sheet in three games with five saves. Emily Osborne and Virtoria Pezdirtz each had four saves as they split halves for Marywood.
LVC will play the University of Scranton on Sunday.
