FREDERICK, Md. - #19 Lebanon Valley improved to 9-0 with a dominating 5-0 effort over Hood in their Commonwealth Conference opener.
The Dutchmen controlled the game with a 21-2 shots advantage, and received a pair of goals from
Lyndee Sheaffer along with strikes by
Brittany Fleisher,
Megan Arnst, and
McKenna Lupold.
LVC led 3-0 at the break after Sheaffer opened the scoring from
Kelsey Heck at 15:32, and Fleisher found the cage 30 seconds later from
Maddie Fox. Sheaffer's second banked in at 28:54.
Arnst scored at the 50 minute mark from Sheaffer's cross to make it 4-0, and Lupold iced the game with her first career goal, coming from
Kristen Garman's cross, at 54:58.
The Dutchmen combined all four of their goalkeepers in the win, with
Kendra Moll making two saves in 53:36.
Sarah DiMaggio,
Morgan Yealy, and
Mikayla Freed also appeared in cage. Alexa Rubano and Jessica Sedgwick combined for eight saves for the Blazers (5-4, 0-1 CC).
Lebanon Valley ends a six-game road trip with the win, and returns home Tuesday to host Misericordia at 7 p.m.
