ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – Lebanon Valley exploded offensively in the team's 5-1 thrashing of Eastern on Saturday afternoon, Sep. 20. The Flying Dutchmen netted four goals in the game's first seven minutes and never looked back en route to their fifth victory of the season.
Senior
Amanda Douglass got things started when she found the back of the net just 15 seconds into match; one of the 20 fastest goals ever scored in NCAA history . Freshman
Meghan Ross assisted on the score. Sophomore Laura Zimmerman doubled the Dutchmen lead when she headed home a ball in the third minute off an assist from fellow sophomore
Kristin Robeson. Before the home team could catch its breath, LVC struck again when Ross got into the scoring act off a Zimmerman assist in the fourth minute. Freshman
Emmie Santoleri capped Lebanon Valley's early flourish with a score in the sixth minute.
The Dutchmen advantage held into the second half and when Eastern's Emily Roquemore finally got the Eagles on the board in the 52nd minute, the visitors answered back with their fifth tally of the day ten minutes later. Sophomore
Sammy Bost scored her team-leading sixth goal of the year off Zimmerman's second assist of the afternoon.
