GALLOWAY, N.J. – Richard Stockton found the back of the net with 2.6 seconds remaining in overtime to send the Lebanon Valley men's lacrosse team into its offseason on Wednesday evening, 7-6.

Following an opening half that left the Valley trailing by a two-goal margin, 6-4, the offense of both teams seemed to disappear as only three more goals were scored in the final 34:57 of play. In the third, junior Matt Aldridge slotted one past the Stockton goalie to cut the lead to one and senior Malik Pedroso finished the feed from sophomore Jacques Mercer in the fourth to tie it up at six.

After 14:45 of scoreless lacrosse, Stockton's Cal Sebor found a lane late and beat LVC senior goalie Mike Moll with 2.6 seconds on the clock to seal the Valley's fate. With the loss, the Dutchmen finish the 2014 season with an overall record of 7-8.

Pedroso led the LVC offense with a goal and two assists, while Aldridge added two goals and the other three tallies came from seniors Matt Roupe, Andrew Dennison, and Jordan Mayr. Moll made 10 saves on the night, suffering his eighth loss of the year, while Stockton's Eric Leonard was impressive, making 14 saves in the win.

LVC led the way in shots, 39-33, and won the battle at the faceoff dot with senior Scott Travers picking up 11-of-16 draws. Both teams went 0-for-2 on extra-man opportunities and Stockton held a slight edge in ground balls, 32-30.
