The game is the 43rd meeting all-time ... Wilkes leads the series 23-19 ... LVC has won three in row ... Coach Jim Monos is 10-9 against the Colonels ... Seven of the last eight games in the series have been decided by one score or less, with last year's 17-6 LVC win the widest margin of victory since 2005 ... Last Year vs. Wilkes
A punishing defensive effort carried Lebanon Valley to a 17-6 win at Wilkes last year. Playing in the 1,000th game in program history, LVC's defense put Wilkes quarterback Taylor Young on his back all afternoon with eight sacks, including four by Frank Gaffney and two from Zach Halpin '14. Andrew Burkholder '14 and Fernando Almonte each had interceptions in key spots of the game. Wilkes was held to just 153 yards of offense, including 52 rushing yards on 38 carries. LVC ran for 197 yards, and Brian Murphy threw for 138 yards and a touchdown.

Misericordia Recap
In its last game, Lebanon Valley's offense erupted for 627 yards as it rolled, 44-16, over Misericordia in front of a packed Homecoming crowd at Arnold Field. The Dutchmen (1-5) approached the school record for total offensive yards as running back Brendon Irving went off for 175 yards and two touchdowns, and the receiving duo of Tyler George (106 yards, 2 TDs) and Homecoming king Darryl Sweeper (94 yds) led LVC's big day. Brian Murphy was 10-of-14 for 219 yards and two scores, while also running for another. LVC's defense held the Cougars (1-5) to 221 total yards led by Frank Gaffney's 10-tackle, 2.0-sack day, while freshman Brandon McMinn had a career day with seven stops, a fumble recovery, and a sack. Andrew Livingston made seven tackles with a hurry.

No Place Like Homecoming
LVC is aiming for its seventh straight Homecoming win today. The Class of 2015 would be only the fifth in program history to win all four of its Homecoming games, joining the previous three senior classes and the class of 1977.

Gaffney Earns MAC, ECAC Weekly Awards
Frank Gaffney was named the MAC and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week after the Misericordia game for his play in leading a big defensive effort by the Dutchmen. Gaffney had 10 tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for a loss in the game as they limited the Cougars to only 221 yards of offense. Running back Brendon Irving was also named to the MAC Weekly Honor Roll after rushing for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Gaffney was also named last week to the College Gridiron Showcase watch list, which names the nation's top football seniors from all three divisions.

All Hail The King
LVC's game against Misericordia was the annual Homecoming game, and senior wide receiver Darryl Sweeper was crowned the Homecoming king at halftime. It was the seventh straight year LVC has won on Homecoming, making the senior class the fifth in school history to win all four.

Mr. Consistent
Senior wide receiver Tyler George has been Lebanon Valley's most consistent offensive producer through Week 7, compiling 485 yards and eight touchdowns, including TDs in five of six contests. He has a pair of multi-touchdown games (3 vs. F&M, 2 vs. Misericordia) and had 100+ yards in each of those contests.

Noting LVC's Offense
LVC's offense averaged 21.7 points and 334.7 yards per game ... Senior quarterback Brian Murphy has thrown for 1,055 yards and 11 touchdowns this season ... Tyler George and Darryl Sweeper are the top receivers, with George hauling in eight touchdowns and 485 yards on 33 catches, and Sweeper, who has been the big-play target, has 361 yards and two scores on 19 receptions ... Joe Bennett has developed into a key outlet with 12 catches for 108 yards, and Mike Smith has seven catches and a touchdown ... On the ground, Brendon Irving has a team-best 620 yards and three touchdowns coming off a big 175-yard, two-TD day against Misericordia ... Spencer Moser has impressed as a freshman with 141 yards ... LVC uses its fullbacks, as well, with Bobby Conlon rushing for 59 yards and Billy Powanda compiling three short-range touchdowns ... The offensive line has surrendered only 10 sacks through six games ... Left tackle Tyler Dean started his 35th career game vs. Misericordia, leading the team.

LVC's defense has had two straight outstanding games, allowing 29.7 points per game this season but only 13.0 points per game over their last two ... LVC held Misericordia's offense to 221 yards overall ... MAC and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week Frank Gaffney has a team-best 59 tackles with 5.5 for a loss and 3.5 sacks this season ... Defensive end Andrew Livingston has made a huge impact this season with 40 stops, 6.5 for a loss, and a team-high 4.0 sacks ... Joe Scerbo, who started his 20th career game vs. Misericordia, has 3.0 sacks ... Kevin Antol leads the secondary with 29 tackles, including five for a loss, while Zach Wierman has a team-best two interceptions ... Reid Pavlik has stepped into a starting role at outside linebacker after converting from safety, and he has 19 tackles, 2.5 for a loss, with a sack this season ... Scouting Wilkes
Wilkes comes in at 2-4 overall, 2-3 in MAC play after falling to #17 Widener last week. The Colonels are led by sophomore quarterback Ryan Dailey, who has thrown for 1,325 yards and seven touchdowns completing 56 percent of his passes. Wilkes has five receivers with 10 or more receptions this year, and seven different players have caught touchdowns; William Deemer (322 yds, 1 TD) and Jeremy Hartman (305, 2 TD) are the primary threats. Wilkes struggles to put up numbers on the ground, rushing for 110.8 yards per game, but they have 13 rushing touchdowns this year led by PJ Incremona's four scores and Dailey's three. Defensively, Wilkes allows 33.7 points and 366.3 yards per game, with linebacker Tanner Stengel (50 T, 4.0 TFL) leading the way.
