ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley swept Wilkes and stretched its current winning streak to nine games. The Dutchmen topped the Colonels 7-4 in game one and 4-3 in game two.

The Dutchmen (11-3) came close to ending game one early with four runs in the second and three more in the fourth. All four early runs were driven in by the first three batters in the lineup, as Tessa Deardorff singled in the first, Katie Deardorff doubled in two more, and Sam Derr singled in the final run of the inning.

Derr drove in two more in the fourth with her third triple of the season, and Allie Hartman slapped an infield single for the final run of the game. Haley Neff followed with a walk, but the next three Dutchmen were retired to end the inning.

Wilkes (5-9) got on the board in a big way in the sixth on a three-run homerun by Alex Hoops. Michelle Coyle knocked in one final run on a single.

Derr pitched all the way, allowing four runs on nine hits and three walks. She struck out a season-high eight batters and improved to 7-2.

Wilkes got on the board first in game two against LVC starter Holly Langdon. After walking one batter and hitting another with a pitch, Langdon saw Wilkes pitcher Laykin Hughes knock an RBI double to right. Hoops scored from third on a wild pitch during the next at-bat to give the Colonels a 2-0 lead.

Wilkes added a run in the third on an RBI single by catcher Jordan Borger.

Meanwhile, the Dutchmen were held hitless into the third where Derr hit a two-out double to left-center to stir some excitement. She scored two batters later on an RBI single to center by Steffani Secola to cut the deficit to 3-1.

The score remained into the bottom of the fifth, when Steffani Secola knocked in Tessa Deardorff from second on an RBI single up the middle.

The Dutchmen evened the score on an RBI single up the middle by Katie Deardorff, plating Kim Ortiz-Marrero from second, but the rally was cut short on a groundout in the next at-bat.

With runners on second and third and two outs, Jorey Aumiller shot a walkoff single through the left side for the 4-3 win.

Langdon pitched all seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks with six strikeouts.
