#20 Lebanon Valley 68, Lycoming 44
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - #20 Lebanon Valley burst out to a huge first-half lead and never looked back, dropping Lycoming 68-44 in Commonwealth Conference play.
The Dutchmen (12-2, 6-1 CC) led 42-11 at the half, led by a first-half double-double from
Caitlin Bach, who wound up with 17 points and 19 rebounds - the most boards by a Dutchman in a decade.
Four starters scored in double digits overall, including
Tierney Hiltz's 13 points,
Renee Fritz's 12 points and eight rebounds, and 12 points and seven boards by
Kiely Chaklos.
The Dutchmen scored the game's first nine points and quickly built a double-digit lead that ballooned to 18 midway through the half. The lead only got larger from there, and the visitors ended the half on an 8-0 run to lead by 31.
LVC stepped off the gas in the second half as Lycoming got good production out of its bench to pull closer, but the lead too much to overcome for the Warriors (2-11, 2-5 CC) as LVC held a 57-39 rebounding advantage, including 24 offensive boards.
Lebanon Valley returns home Saturday to host Albright at 4 p.m.
