Lebanon Valley 65, Elizabethtown 62
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Caitlin Bach turned in another huge offensive showing with 21 points in a 65-62 win over Elizabethtown Saturday afternoon.
Bach's 21 led a list of four players in double digits for #16 Lebanon Valley.
Kiely Chaklos scored 12,
Renee Fritz scored 11, and
Tierney Hiltz scored 10 in the win.
Bach shot 5-for-7 for 12 points in the first half, where the team shot 50 percent from the field. Bach shot 8-for-11 for the game and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
The Dutchmen (16-3, 10-2 CC) clawed until the end in a game that bounced back and forth. The Blue Jays (9-8, 7-5) led as late as midway through the second half before LVC pulled away on a 12-0 run to buy time.
E-town pulled within three points when Katy Fogel hit a three-pointer with five seconds on the clock. Fritz went to throw the inbounds pass and had the ball tipped to create a stir in the final moments, but the ball landed in the hands of
Lauren Ruhl.
In typical fashion, LVC dominated the boards, leading 46-33 in rebounding. Fritz led with 10, while Bach and Chaklos each tallied nine.
