COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Despite posting a four-run fourth, Lebanon Valley (21-11)  fell, 6-5, to Ursinus (14-13) in game one of Tuesday's doubleheader. The Dutchmen took an early 5-1 lead and never let go to claim game two.

Game One

LVC's game one rally was built on three hits, two walks, and two errors. Allie Hartman and Steph Hulme took back-to-back walks with one out in the fourth and advanced a bag when Steffani Secola reached on an error. Hartman scored on an RBI single by Alexa Maddy. Hulme scored on a wild pitch. Jasmine Dutton singled in Secola. Caitlyn Atzinger scored as a pinch runner on an error.

Dutton knocked Hulme home from third in the top of the sixth on a single to right, but the Dutchmen were thwarted at five runs.

Tessa Deardorff led the team with two hits. Hulme finished with three walks and two runs scored.

Kristen Palmerio (13-7) earned the loss for LVC. She allowed six runs - four earned - on nine hits and two walks. She struck out one in six innings.

Game Two

LVC put 10 hits on the board in game two. Hulme gave the team the lead in the top of the first on a two-run triple to right that scored both Tessa and Katie Deardorff. Hulme scored the team's third run on a sac fly by Secola.

Starting pitcher Emily Robenolt allowed her only run of the game in the bottom of the first, but the Dutchmen were able to come out for another two runs in the third. Tessa Deardorff singled through the left side to open up the inning. She stole second and advanced on a bunt single by Katie Deardorff. She scored on a double steal attempt on a throwing error by the catcher. Allie Hartman singled in Katie Deardorff for the team's fifth and final run.

Tessa and Katie Deardorff combined for five hits and four runs out of the first and second slots in the order. Tessa stole her team-high 21st base of the season; Katie stole three bases to jump to 19 on the season.

Hulme finished 1 for 4 with a run and two RBIs. Hartman and Chelsea Detwiler both finished with two hits.

Robenolt (4-1) earned the win. She allowed one unearned run on three hits and a walk. She struck out one.

LVC plays two at Albright Saturday at 1 p.m.
