ANNVILLE, Pa. - Despite having the second game shortened by darkness in the sixth inning, Lebanon Valley (18-10) amassed 29 total hits in a doubleheader at Franklin & Marshall (11-14-1) en route to a pair of wins Thursday.

Katie Deardorff led the offense with seven total hits, four runs, and three RBIs out of the two hole.

Alexa Maddy made noise in the final inning of game one, hitting her first homerun of the season. Steph Hulme smashed her second homer of the season in game two.

Game One

Neither team scored in the first three innings of game one, but once the Dutchmen scoring began, it proved difficult to end.

Maddy reached on an error in the fourth with two runners on base, scoring Allie Hartman from second to give LVC a 1-0 lead.

Katie Deardorff picked up her first two RBIs of the game in the fifth on a double to left, giving the team a 3-0 advantage.

Both Maddy and Katie Deardorff earned RBIs in the sixth on a double and single, respectively. The runs put LVC up 5-0.

Starting pitcher Kristen Palmerio finally allowed a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth. She allowed just one hit in the frame - an RBI double by pitcher Nicole Casey.

Maddy gave the Dutchmen added insurance with her two-run shot to left in the seventh.

Palmerio (11-6) earned the win for her seven innings in the circle. She allowed just two hits and three walks with four strikeouts.

Game Two

Hartman put the Dutchmen on the board in the first with an RBI single that scored Katie Deardorff, but the run was negated when the Diplomats tied the game in the bottom frame.

So the Dutchmen hit harder in the next inning.

Starting pitcher Jasmine Dutton knocked in the first run of the inning on a single to center. Kristen Palmerio singled up the middle later in the inning to score both Dutton and Tessa Deardorff and give LVC a 4-1 lead. Hulme added another run on a single to left two batters later.

LVC got runs in the fourth and fifth on Palmerio and Hulme, respectively. Hulme's RBI came on a solo homer to left. It was her second of the season.

The Dutchmen broke a 7-7 tie wide open with a six-run sixth inning. Palmerio knocked in the first two runs on a single to right. Hulme, Jorie Aumiller, Chelsea Detwiler, and Tessa Deardorff each collected RBIs in the inning.

Dutton and Emily Robenolt split the pitching for LVC - three innings each. Dutton was given a no-decision after allowing seven runs - five earned - on six hits and four walks. Robenolt (3-1) earned the win after allowing two runs on three hits and a walk.
