Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Softball
Game 1 - Lebanon Valley 0, Ohio Northern 2

CLERMONT, Fla. - The Dutchmen couldn't muster much offense in a pair of losses Thursday at the National Training Center.

Ohio Northern stopped Tessa Deardorff at third base in the first inning, barring LVC from its first shot at taking a lead.

Steffani Secola and Chelsea Detwiler both reached third in the fourth with the game still scoreless, prompting the Polar Bears to pull starting pitcher Abbey Bensing.

Ohio Northern took a 1-0 lead in the fifth and added an insurance run on a solo homerun by third baseman Cassie Gaye in the seventh.

Kristen Palmerio made her third start of the week in the circle for the Dutchmen, falling to 1-2.

Game 2 - Lebanon Valley 1, Emerson 9

CLERMONT, Fla. - Freshman rightfielder Angela Harris finally got the Dutchmen on the board in the fifth inning of game two Thursday. Harris doubled and came around to score for the team's lone run in a 9-1 loss to Emerson.

The Lions put five runs on the board in the first against freshman hurler Emily Robenolt in the first, prompting head coach Stacey Hollinger to lift her for reliever Jasmine Dutton.

Dutton recorded the final out of the inning and finished out the game.

The Lions added insurance runs in the fourth and fifth and two more in the sixth for the win.

Palmerio singled in the sixth and stole second but was left stranded by three consecutive outs.

The Dutchmen play their final two games of the trip Friday. They'll play Misericordia at 9 a.m. and Ohio Northern at 1 p.m.
