ANNVILLE, Pa. - With a 74-48 rout over Albright (5-18, 1-11 CC) Saturday, #17 Lebanon Valley (21-2, 12-0) clinched the top seed in the Commonwealth Conference playoffs, which open Feb. 22.

Saturday's win was as much about reflection as it was about the team's seeding. Seniors Caitlin Murphy and Eryn Schultz were honored prior to tipoff in the team's annual Senior Day ceremony.

Caitlin Bach was able to grab some attention on the floor, leading the team with 14 points and eight rebounds. Her first five points came during an 11-0 run on an and-one layup and three free throws.

Gia Russo and Liz Borgia netted layups in the final 30 seconds of the half to give the Dutchmen a 34-23 lead at halftime. Borgia led the team with eight points at the break.

Courtney Escudero made great use of her time off the bench in the second half, sinking a pair a pair of layups during a 10-0 run that gave the Dutchmen a 70-38 lead with under five minutes to play. Russo and Amanda Donia each hit from three-point range.

Gabrielle Vass drew a foul with 32 seconds to play, thwarting the continuation of an 8-0 Lions run. She sank a pair of free throws to close out the win.

LVC's bench outscored Albright's 32-0. They also outrebounded the Lions 45-28 and converted for 22 points off of turnovers.

Borgia finished with 12 points on the night. Kiely Chaklos had eight, and Tierney Hiltz and Renee Fritz each had eight. Chaklos led with six assists.

Hiltz and Fritz both finished with five rebounds on the night.

The Dutchmen play at Widener and Arcadia this week and host conference semifinals on Feb. 22. Time and opponent are still undetermined but will be announced on GoDutchmen.com.
