#13 Lebanon Valley 85, Alvernia 50
READING, Pa. - #13 Lebanon Valley had little trouble taking a conference win at Alvernia Saturday and left Reading with an 85-50 win.
Renee Fritz was the top scorer for the Dutchmen (7-1, 4-1 CC) with 18 points and an 80 percent (8-for-10) day shooting from the field.
Liz Borgia and
Lauren Ruhl scored 11 points each, and
Kerri Stolle scored 10. LVC shot 59 percent (33-for-56) collectively and 88 percent (15-for-17) from the free throw line.
Caitlin Bach led the defense with 11 rebounds, followed by Fritz, Ruhl, and Stolle, who each grabbed seven boards. LVC led the rebounding game by a huge 48-17 margin.
The Dutchmen pulled away on a 20-2 run over the final 10 minutes of the first half.
Peyton Carper was one of five players to score during the run, scoring four of her seven points in that span.
Stevie Fortna and Chelsea Ebersole scored 14 points each to lead the Crusaders (4-3, 2-2).
LVC will play four games outside of Commonwealth Conference play, beginning with a game at Marywood on Dec. 17.
