ANNVILLE, Pa. - The men's 200-medley relay broke a 20 year-old school record to lead LVC in a split with King's on Friday night.
LVC's men won their meet 122-81, while the women lost a close one 112-93.
In the medley relay,
Matt Dwyer,
Bobby Burkhart,
Clay Heebner, and
Dan Weinel hit the wall in 1:58.01, taking nearly four-tenths off the former record of 1:58.39, which was set in 1992 and is one of the two oldest marks left on LVC's recordbook.
Heeber added an 800-free win in 9:58.01 and 100-fly victory in 1:04.36, and Weinel touched first in the 50 free in 25.59 with Burkhart winning the 200 IM in 2:33.73 and 100-breast in 1:14.76. The 200-free relay of
Ian Jackson,
David Corvino, Tim Carroll, and
Blade Umstead capped the meet with a 1:45.74 victory.
The women won five events, led by
Jan Ikeda three wins in the 200-free (2:16.22), 100-fly (1:05.68), and 400-free (4:58.22).
Ashlyn Dininni captured the 50-free in 29.27, and the 200 medley relay (Brossman, Gardner, Mongeau, Dininni) won in 2:15.33.
