ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Lebanon Valley got strong offensive showings from Tierney Hiltz and Renee Fritz in a 51-45 win over conference rivals Elizabethtown Wednesday night.

At 29.8 percent, the Dutchmen (14-2, 5-0 CC) recorded their worst shooting numbers of the season. They outrebounded the Blue Jays (10-5, 3-2) 46-43 and shot 71 percent from the free throw line to E-Town's 50 percent for the win.

The Dutchmen opened the game on a 14-3 run that included six points from Hiltz and four from Liz Borgia. They shot 38.5 percent from the field in the first half and headed to halftime up 29-18.

The Blue Jays were never able to capture a lead but tied the game at 43-43 with just 2:56 to play. The Dutchmen pushed back with an 8-0 run fueled by four successful free throws by Kiely Chaklos.

With 1:06 to play and with LVC up by four at 47-43, E-Town's Nadine Yunginger stepped to the line for a pair of free throws. She missed the first and sank the second but had the shot waved for a lane violation. That kept it a two-possession game, and the Blue Jays were forced to foul instead.

Chaklos's free throws sealed the win for the Dutchmen.

Hiltz closed with a game-high 16 points and neared a double-double with eight rebounds. Fritz finished with 13 points and four boards.

Caitlin Bach led the team with 12 rebounds, including nine on defense.

The Dutchmen travel to Albright Saturday for a 2 p.m. game with the Lions.
