Guiles is now 96 yards away from surpassing Rick Coleman '78 for second on the all-time list. Lending A Hand
After the historic flooding from Tropical Storm Lee affected the lives of many in the LVC community, the football program lent a hand in helping with the clean-up. After the flooding, many members of the team gave up their off day and spare time to help rehabilitate homes of professors and community members in Annville, and they also volunteered with the Annville Fire Department to help clean up. They were among several LVC teams to help, including the field hockey, men's lacrosse, and men's basketball programs. Last weekend, the football program earned a “Cheers” from the Harrisburg Patriot-News for their efforts.

Win #400
The win over Grove City gave LVC its 400th victory in program history dating back to 1897. LVC is 400-538-37 all-time.

MAC Drops PAC
The Middle Atlantic Conference decisively beat the Presidents' Athletic Conference as part of the PAC-MAC Challenge series, going 5-1 in Week 2 including LVC's 27-7 win at Grove City. Only FDU-Florham lost, to St. Vincent, although two games were unable to be played after Wilkes and King's were forced to cancel due to campus flood evacuations.

Guiles A Preseason All-America
Senior RB Ben Guiles had a phenomenal junior season, and that paid off this summer with plenty of preseason buzz. Guiles has been named a preseason all-America by four different outlets, including first-team honors from D3 Senior Class, second-team nods by d3football.com and Consensus Draft Services, and a third-team spot by D3 Pro Day.

MAC Adds Stevenson For 2011, Misericordia for 2012
The Middle Atlantic Conference announced Aug. 6, 2010 that it will add today's opponent, Stevenson University, as an associate member in football only starting in fall 2011. In 2012, Misericordia University will add football, bringing the MAC to 10 members. The addition means LVC will play eight conference games and two non-conference games this year and just one non-league contest, at Montclair State as part of the new MAC-NJAC Challenge, in 2012.

Stevenson Quick Look
The Mustangs are in their first season as a varsity program and have already earned their first win, a wild 46-43 double-overtime victory two weeks ago in their home debut against Christopher Newport. Stevenson fell back to earth last week with a 51-26 loss to King's, but they have been led by a talented quarterback in C.J. Hopson, who has thrown for 754 yards and nine touchdowns in three games. Jae DeShields and Jeromie Miller have been the favored targets, catching five and four touchdowns, respectively. Stevenson's ground game hasn't developed, with leader Emmanuel Paul rushing for 147 yards this year. Defensively, Stevenson's 4-4 system has allowed 47.7 points per game and is led by linebacker and captain Donnell Brown's 37 tackles and 4.5 tackles for a loss.
