Joey Miller has caught three touchdowns in his first two career starts.
5. Lebanon Valley has not defeated a ranked team since 2000, when it beat Susquehanna on a last-second field goal.
Noting LVC's Offense vs. Grove City

It was LVC's first turnover-free game since 2009 ... LVC went 4-for-5 in the red zone and converted 8 of 13 third-down chances, but was 0-for-3 on fourth down ... Three of LVC's four scoring drives were nine plays or more, including the final 12-play, 93-yard drive in the fourth quarter ...

Guiles Nears 3,000 Yards, TD Record
Senior
Ben Guiles has a chance to make history at Delaware Valley, sitting just 56 rushing yards shy of 3,000 for his career and three touchdowns from equaling the all-time record of 35. He would be the third LVC running back to hit 3,000 (joining Charlie Parker '10 and Rick Coleman '78), and he is also 162 yards away from surpassing Coleman for second on the yardage list. Last week, Guiles became the third Dutchman to score 200 or more points (he has 204 for his career), joining Parker and Adam Brossman '08.
Lending A Hand
After last week's historic flooding in the Susquehanna Valley effected the lives of many in the LVC community, the football program lent a hand in helping with the clean-up. On Monday, the team gave up its off day from practice to help Dr. Phil Billings, LVC's former NCAA faculty rep, rehabilitate his home in Annville, and they also assisted Annville firefighters with efforts around town. They were among several LVC teams to help, including the field hockey, men's lacrosse, and men's basketball programs.
Win #400
The win over Grove City gave LVC its 400th victory in program history dating back to 1897. LVC is 400-537-37 all-time.
MAC Defeats PAC
The Middle Atlantic Conference decisively beat the Presidents' Athletic Conference as part of the PAC-MAC Challenge series, going 5-1 last week including LVC's 27-7 win at Grove City. Only FDU-Florham lost, to St. Vincent, although two games were unable to be played after Wilkes and King's were forced to cancel due to campus flood evacuations.
LVC Receives Votes In Top 25
After a 2-0 start, LVC earned four votes in the d3football.com Top 25 for the second straight week. After receiving two votes in the preseason poll, LVC has stayed on the radar of voters. Delaware Valley appeared at #25 in the poll for the first time this season. (See poll, page 4)
First Time For Everything

Jerome Duncan and
Ryan Melley, SS
Dave Hallinan, and FS
Nate Kauffman) along with WLB
Macke Hall and DE
Wes Rockwell. The offensive line had four new faces (LT
Nate Valdez, C

Joey Miller starting at wide receiver. One other Dutchman - OLB
Andrew Hurst - made a start at a new position, going from Mike (where he started twice last year) to Sam. Last week, freshman
Tyler Dean made his first start at left tackle at Grove City.
Coming Home

Kenny Golden, who is from Pennsburg and went to Upper Perkiomen;
Brendan Kozub, from Richboro and Council Rock North;
Pete Panichi, a King of Prussia native and Upper Merion grad; and

Mike Evangelista '10 is also coming home; he's a native of Warminster.
Last Year vs. Delaware Valley
LVC had an afternoon to forget as #13 Delaware Valley blasted out to a 28-0 first-half lead on the way to a 38-6 win. The Dutchmen managed just 140 yards of offense and the Aggies rolled out 501 yards in all, led by Mark Hatty's 269 yards and 5 passing touchdowns. LVC handed
Colt Zarilla his first career start at quarterback, but he was frustrated, going 8-for-17 for 98 yards with two picks and six sacks taken. Del Val had a pair of touchdowns by Vince Lochetto as Hatty threw for four touchdowns in the first half alone.
Delaware Valley Quick Look
The “Cardiac Aggies” are 2-0 by a combined two points, beating Muhlenberg 10-9 in overtime in Week 1 and holding off Washington & Jefferson 20-19 last week. The Aggies are ranked #25 by d3football.com. New quarterback Aaron Wilmer has been very good, throwing for 490 yards and two touchdowns, but scoring has been hard to come by for the Aggies, who have just four touchdowns in two games and average 103 yards rushing per game. Turnovers have been a problem - Del Val has given away three fumbles and two interceptions in two games. However, the Aggie defense has been outstanding, holding opponents to 14 points and 204 yards of offense per game. They've also gotten the ball back very quickly - Del Val holds a massive 36:52 to 23:08 time of poessession advantage.
