WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sweeping a doubleheader from Lycoming Friday afternoon, #24 Lebanon Valley softball extended its win streak to 11 games. The Dutchmen posted a 6-2 win in the first game and continued with a 10-2 victory in six innings.

Meghan Donoghue paced the Dutchmen, going 6-for-8 with five runs and five RBI. Two of her hits included homers, pushing her back into the lead as LVC's all-time home run leader with 12 in her career.

Val Malizzia also had a career day. Pitching the second game, she became LVC's all-time leader in innings pitched with 454.2 through her four years. She surpassed the record of 451 innings set by Jenn Roberts '07.

GAME ONE
Katie Freeman and Donoghue each tallied two RBI, while Kristen Palmerio went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Two runs in the second inning gave Lebanon Valley the early lead. Allison Hartman started the inning with a home run to center field, her third of the season. Marisa Krause reached base on an error and scored after a sacrifice fly to left field by Laura Snyder.

The Dutchmen posted two more runs in the third for a 4-0 advantage. Palmerio hit a one-out single and Donoghue continued with a home run to center field. A two-run double from Freeman in the fifth inning pushed LVC's lead to six runs.

Lycoming broke up the shutout in the fifth inning with a home run from Brie Braga, and registered another run in the sixth inning.

Snyder improved to 7-4 on the season with the win. Pitching the complete game, she allowed two runs on five hits and struck out nine.

GAME TWO
Lebanon Valley scored early with three runs in the first inning. An error scored Katie Deardorff and a single from Donoghue sent Palmerio home. Steffani Secola's sacrifice fly to center scored Donoghue for the final run of the inning.

The Warrior cut LVC's lead to two runs in the second with one run scoring off a single by Bethany Garnand, and added another run in the third to come within one.

Donoghue's home run to right center in the third inning put Lebanon Valley back in control. A double from Snyder scored a run in the fourth and Secola's double in the fifth tallied another run for a 6-2 lead.

The Dutchmen wrapped up the game in the sixth with four runs. Hartman batted in two runs, while Deardorff and Donoghue sent one run home each.

Malizzia picked up her ninth win of the season after pitching six innings. She allowed two runs on seven hits and notched two strikeouts.

The Dutchmen hold a 20-5 overall record and an 8-2 mark in the Commonwealth Conference. LVC returns to action on Tuesday, hosting Ursinus for two games beginning at 3:30 p.m.
