If You Only Know Five Things...
1. Coming off 208 yards against Wilkes,
Ben Guiles needs 36 yards to become LVC's all-time rushing leader. He had his career-best game against King's last year with 262 yards and three touchdowns.
2. A victory over King's would put LVC at 7-3 and in a good spot for a third consecutive ECAC Bowl invitation. LVC was 8-2 in 2009 and 6-4 last season.
3. The King's game is Senior Day for LVC, and the Dutchmen will honor their senior student-athletes before the game.
4. Wide receiver
Tim Picerno and punter
Colt Zarilla are the reigning MAC Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
5. LVC clinched its fourth consecutive winning season last week at Wilkes. The last time a senior class graduated with four winning seasons was 1963, when the Dutchmen finished a six-year streak of winning seasons.
Series History
The game is the 13th meeting all-time ... The series is knotted at 6-6 ... LVC has won four in a row ... King's had won four straight before that ... During LVC's four-game win streak, two games have been blowouts (2008, 2009) and two have come down to one score (2007, 2010) ... They have met every year since 2003 ... The first meeting was Sept. 30, 1995 at King's, an 18-11 LVC win ... Coach
Jim Monos is 6-4 against the Monarchs ... LVC is 5-7 on Nov. 12.
Senior Day
Before the game, LVC will honor its senior football student-athletes, cheerleaders, trainers, and equipment managers. The Class of 2012 is one of the most successful in school history, winning 27 games and being the only senior class in school history to go to back-to-back postseason bowls. They are the first senior class since 1963 to have a winning record every season.
ECAC Bowl In LVC's Future?
A win today would give LVC a 7-3 record and a solid shot at their third consecutive ECAC Bowl appearance. LVC qualified with an 8-2 record in 2009 and 6-4 last season. The bids will be announced Monday.
Guiles Chases Rushing Record
After breaking the career touchdown and scoring records, one final record remains for
Ben Guiles - LVC's all-time rushing yardage mark. With 3,672 yards, he needs just 36 more to surpass Charlie Parker '10 for first all-time.
Winning Ways
With last week's victory at Wilkes, LVC secured its fourth consecutive winning season. It's the first time that's happened since 1963, when the Dutchmen capped off six consecutive winning seasons.
Picerno, Zarilla Earn MAC POTW Honors
Wide receiver

Zarilla dropped two of his four inside the 20, including one at the Wilkes 2-yard line deep in the fourth quarter. Only one of his punts was returnable, for three yards. His biggest contribution came in the second quarter, when he faked a punt at midfield and hit
Macke Hall for a 26-yard first down pass, leading to a touchdown later in the drive that put the Dutchmen ahead.

Last Year vs. King's
Ben Guiles ran for 262 yards and three touchdowns, including two in the final three minutes of the game, as Lebanon Valley came back late and then held off King's in a wild finish to win, 21-19. Guiles finished with the second-best rushing performance in LVC history, just five yards shy of Charlie Parker '10's school record of 267 yards. He scored all three of LVC's touchdowns, and
Brittany Ryan tacked on a 24-yard field goal. The LVC defense did not allow King's an offensive touchdown, with the Monarchs getting four field goals from Ryan Cain and an 86-yard kick-off return by Jay Torres with 2:07 left in the game. The score stood at 12-9 until deep into the fourth quarter, and the two teams combined for three touchdowns over a 1:26 span late in the game. After an LVC drive sputtered at the King's four, the Monarchs were forced to punt, but Cain's punt was shanked for just nine yards, setting LVC up on the 14-yard line. Guiles ran it in on first down to retake the lead at 15-12, and after a three-and-out, Guiles was dancing into the end zone again, this time from 15 yards out, to seemingly secure the game with a 21-12 lead. Torres, however, took the kickoff 86 yards to the house, giving the Monarchs a glimmer of hope for their first win, but Cain's onside kick was recovered by LVC, and Guiles ran out the remaining 2:06.
King's Quick Look
The Monarch have struggled to a 1-7 record, with six straight losses. Their last two games have been close, however, with a 13-6 loss to crosstown rival Wilkes and a 17-3 setback against FDU-Florham last week. Quarterback Joe Kirchon has thrown for 978 yards and four touchdowns, with Jay Torres leading receivers with 503 yards. King's rushes for just 75 yards per game, led by Eric Ofcharsky's 256 yards this year.
Next Time Out
LVC has finished the regular season but will hope for an ECAC Bowl bid when the pairings are announced on Monday.
