CARLISLE, Pa.
- #5 Lebanon Valley continued its perfect start to the 2010 season, shutting out Dickinson 5-0 on Tuesday behind two goals apiece by Jocelyn Novak and Caitlin Vasey.

The Dutchmen (4-0) have averaged more than five goals per game over the opening two weeks of the season while allowing just two goals in four games. The Devils (0-4) were left still looking for their first win.

With her two goals, Novak now has 74 for her career, closing in on Steph Marguglio '07's 78 for second on the all-time list.

The Dutchmen ripped off 17 shots in the first half, peppering Dickinson's Katy Schlectweg with 10 shots before Allison Bicher hit the back of the cage 11:31 in off Vasey's assist. The pair traded roles for LVC's second goal five minutes later, and Novak scored her first off a pass from Marisa Maxwell at 20:07 to give LVC a 3-0 halftime lead.

Novak tacked on her second goal thanks to Cait Eckenrode's pass four minutes into the second half, and Vasey finished the scoring with an unassisted tally just before the hour.

LVC held a 25-7 shots advantage (17-1 in the first half), but corners were even at 9-9 as Dickinson held a 7-1 second-half lead. Christine Poletti (4-0) made two saves to pick up the shutout; Schlectweg made nine saves for Dickinson.

The Dutchmen return home Thursday to host DeSales at 4 p.m.
