ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Elizabethtown turned in an eight-goal first quarter and never looked back as they defeated Lebanon Valley, 18-5, in men's lacrosse play on Tuesday.
The Dutchmen (2-6, 0-4 MAC) had two goals apiece from #Brendon Cummings@ and
Kyle Stewardson, but it wasn't enough against a Blue Jay (6-2, 4-0 MAC) offense that ripped off 42 shots and won 19 of 27 face-offs.
Six different Blue Jays scored two goals each, led by Aaron Weber's two goals and two assists.
E-town put up eight goals in the first quarter, but Stewardson scored both of his in the second quarter, with the second coming off a
CJ Adams assist.
Ian Schmid added a goal in the third, and Cummings scored his pair in the fourth quarter, with his final tally off a Stewardson feed.
E-town held a 42-18 shots advantage. Brendan Corcoran got the win in just a quarter of work, making a save; Hunter Malick played the remainder of the game and stopped seven.
Ethan Hilberg had seven saves for LVC.
The Dutchmen visit Manhattanville on Saturday.
