CLERMONT, Fla. - Lebanon Valley softball split Thursday's games at the National Training Center in Florida, posting a 3-2 win over John Carroll in the first game of the day, and falling 9-0 to Augustana College of Illinois in the second.

In the first game, sophomore Kristen Palmerio pitched the complete game for the victory and posted three strikeouts.

Senior Allie Davies started things off in the second inning with a double and crossed the plate after classmate Janey Kozlowski notched a double.

Junior Chelsea Artz opened the third with a walk and advanced to second off a sacrifice by Kerri Datres. A triple by Palmerio then sent one run home and a hit from Kristen Uhas scored another.

In the nightcap, Meghan Donoghue opened the game with a double and Datres tallied a hit in the loss.

Laura Snyder started in the circle and went five innings with three strikeouts, while Val Malizzia pitched the final two innings, recording two strikeouts.

LVC concludes spring break play in Florida with two games tomorrow. The Dutchmen face Ohio Northern at 9:30 a.m. followed by Marywood at 11:30 a.m.
