ANNVILLE, Pa. - For the first time in nearly 25 years, lacrosse hit the fields at LVC as the women's team practiced together Sunday at Rohland Field.
Head Coach
Brianne Tierney and assistant coach
Dylan Sheridan spent two hours with the team, working on conditioning, skill, and defensive drills, while the team got a chance to get to know each other and play together for the first time in an official practice.
In October 2008, LVC announced it would bring back men's and women's lacrosse to begin play in the spring of 2010. Lebanon Valley had previously sponsored a men's team from 1965 to 1985 and a women's program from 1975 to 1985.
Check out a photo gallery from practice here. Both the men's and women's lacrosse teams will practice throughout the fall leading up to their playday on Oktoberfest Weekend Oct. 24, when both teams will scrimmage opponents at 10:30 a.m.
The women's team will play its first game March 4, 2010 against Lancaster Bible at LVC's Arnold Field.
