Luke Franklin

Luke Franklin joined the staff of Lebanon Valley's men's lacrosse team as an Assistant Coach in 2023. 
 
Franklin oversees the development of the Lebanon Valley’s defensive players. He contributes to the planning and execution of daily practice sessions and runs the defensive side of practices. Franklin also coordinates both group and individual film sessions for the defensive unit and develops scouting reports to plan for the next game. Additionally, he plays an integral role in the program’s recruiting efforts, attending local, regional, and national events while leading campus tours for recruits who visit LVC. During Franklin’s tenure with the Dutchmen, he has helped guide seven players to All-Conference accolades, including three First Team selections and four Second Team honorees.
 
Franklin also serves as an Academic Advisor for the program, meeting with student-athletes to strategize for success in the classroom. He has mentored the academic achievement of Lebanon Valley’s players, as the team has received one Division III United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Blatant Lacrosse Scholar All-America honor and seven College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District accolades. Additionally, Franklin has contributed to 59 players being listed on the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Academic Honor Roll, and one member of the Dutchmen earning an Academic All-MAC selection.
 
Before coming to LVC, Franklin worked for a year as an Assistant Coach for Susquehanna University, serving as the Defensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator. 

Prior to going to Susquehanna, Franklin was a Graduate Assistant for two years at McDaniel College while earning his master’s in Kinesiology. In this role, he specialized in working with defensive players and goalies.

In 2020, Franklin was the Head Coach for the Diamond National Team 23 for lacrosse. In that same year, he was an Assistant Coach for the 23 and 25 Hereford Lacrosse teams. Franklin also has experience working as a Tournament Director for the 2019 World Series of Youth Lacrosse Tournament in Denver. 

Franklin graduated from Susquehanna University with a bachelor’s in International Studies: International Trade and Development in 2019. He was a four-year letter winner for men’s lacrosse during his time at Susquehanna, earning six turnovers and scooping up nine ground balls in 26 games, including 10 starts. Franklin was voted most improved by his teammates and the Head Coach in his senior year. In his four years, Franklin helped his team qualify for three Landmark Conference Championships, with his team reaching the championship game in 2018 and 2019.
