Michael Bennett will join the Lebanon Valley women's soccer program as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2015 season.
A three-year starting goalkeeper for Shippensburg University’s men’s soccer team, Bennett joins the Flying Dutchmen staff after previous stints as an assistant for both the men’s and women’s programs at Shippensburg from 1999 to 2003 and 2009. He also served as an assistant for Warwick’s girls’ soccer team from 1999 to 2012 and as an EPYSA Olympic Development coach for three years.
He earned Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference (PSAC) All-Conference honors as the Raiders’ goalie before playing professionally for the Reading Rage of the USL in 1999. He holds a USSF C National Coaching License and an NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma.
Bennett earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from Shippensburg before completing his doctorate of education from Duquesne University in 2009.
