Rebecca Pugh enters her third season as an assistant coach with LVC's women's basketball team in 2017-18.
Pugh comes to LVC with eight years’ experience at the high school level, having helped lead Pine Grove to two District XI titles and a Schuylkill League championship during her time with the varsity squad dating back to 2011. She began her high school coaching career in Delaware in 2007-08.
The Lycoming College alum has also worked as an AAU coach since 2012 and as a counselor at various camps including Pine Grove’s Youth Camp, Donyell Marhsall’s Boys & Girls Club Basketball Camp, and Lycoming’s Team Camp. She’s also been involved with clinics and practices at St. Joseph’s University, Bloomsburg University, and Moravian College.
As a member of Lycoming’s women’s basketball team, Pugh averaged 7.1 points per game and led the team in assists as a senior. As a junior, she averaged 7.8 points per game and led the squad in three-point field goal percentage. Pugh was twice named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Academic Honor Roll and she ranks tenth on the Warriors’ career three-pointers made list.
Pugh scored 354 points during her senior campaign at Pine Grove and won three straight District XI championships with the Cardinals from 2000 to 2002.
A 2005 graduate of Lycoming, Pugh earned her bachelor’s degree in music education before completing her master’s in music education from Boston University.Â
