Kiely Chaklos '15, M'16

Kiely Chaklos '15, M'16, has been an Assistant Coach at her alma mater since the 2016-17 season.

During her tenure on Lebanon Valley’s coaching staff, Chaklos has helped guide the program to eight postseason appearances, including three trips to the semifinals of the conference tournament. In the 2024-25 campaign, she contributed to Lebanon Valley winning its first-ever Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Regular Season Championship. Chaklos has also coached 18 All-Conference honorees, three Rookie of the Year recipients, and one MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year selection. 

Before becoming an Assistant Coach, Chaklos was a four-year captain for the Dutchmen and put together one of the most successful careers for the program in recent memory. She helped lead Lebanon Valley to 2011-12 and 2012-13 Commonwealth Conference titles amidst a stretch of three consecutive appearances in the conference championship game. Chaklos also played an integral role in LVC reaching the NCAA Tournament in three straight years, including a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2011-12. Additionally, she was a three-time All-Conference honoree and earned the MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year award in her debut season. 
 
Chaklos finished her career with 1,285 points to rank fifth on LVC’s all-time scoring list, becoming just the 12th Dutchmen Women’s Basketball player to score 1,000 or more career points at the time. She also holds program records with 111 games started and 434 career free throws made. Additionally, Chaklos holds Lebanon Valley’s single-game record for the most free throws made without a miss during the contest, posting a 15-for-15 perfect game in the 81-72 victory over FDU-Florham on Nov. 18, 2012. 

Chaklos earned a bachelor’s in Early Childhood and Special Education in 2015 and received her master’s in Business Administration from LVC in 2016. She is currently a Third-Grade Teacher at Our Lady of the Cross School in Lebanon, Pa. 
 
Before attending Lebanon Valley, Chaklos competed in basketball, soccer, and track and field at Nativity BVM High School. The Frackville, Pa., native was recognized for her athletic success in high school by becoming the youngest inductee into the Nativity BVM Hall of Fame in 2020.
