Former Lebanon Valley standout Anthony Trautman '11 is once again a member of the College's men's basketball program. Now, he's manning the sideline as an assistant under head coach Brad McAlester.
Â
Trautman joins the LVC staff one year removed from playing professionally in Germany. As a member of BC Zwickau in 2014-15, he averaged 22.7 points per game, including netting a season-best 32 points in a win over Leipzig last November.
Â
The 2015-16 season will be Trautman's first coaching at the college level and he brings with him a plethora of experience from his collegiate playing days. As a senior, the sharp-shooting guard was named an NABC Third-Team All-American and earned a D-III News All-America Honorable Mention nod. The team captain was named all-region by D3hoops.com and a first-team all-star by the ECAC. He earned MAC Commonwealth First-Team All-Conference status and was named the league's player of the week on four occasions.
Â
Trautman is the most recent LVC player to be named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year. He earned the accolade following the 2010-11 campaign. His nine steals against Wilkes in November of 2010 remain a program record, while his eight 3-pointers made against Misericordia that same year is the second-highest single-game total in school history.
