Mark Painter

  • Title
    Offensive Line
Mark Painter joined the Lebanon Valley staff as the team’s offensive line coach beginning in the fall of 2016, bringing with him more than two decades of coaching experience.

LVC’s offensive line anchored the team’s rushing attack a year ago; a unit that scored 19 touchdowns and averaged more than 200 yards on the ground per outing. In 2016, center Bryant Weller ’17 was pegged an ECAC All-Star and a First-Team All-MAC selection under Painter’s watch.

Most recently, Painter was the head coach at Hershey High School from 2009-13 where he led the Trojans to the PIAA District 3 playoffs all five seasons after serving as an assistant coach for the program from 2002-08.

Prior to joining the Hershey staff, Painter was the head coach at Lower Dauphin from 1998-2001. During his stint in Hummelstown, he led the Falcons to the Mid-Penn Keystone Division title in 1998. Before taking over the team, Painter was an assistant for LD from 1992-97 under former head coach and current LVC defensive coordinator Vince Pantalone. In 1995, he helped lead the program to a PIAA District 3 Championship and a PIAA AAAA Championship Runner-Up finish.

Painter broke into the high school ranks as an assistant coach at Palmyra in 1991 following a stop as a graduate assistant at Millersville University in 1990.

Painter was a two-way player on the offensive and defensive lines at Millersville in the late 1980’s and was a member of the Marauders 1988 PSAC championship squad that went on to compete in the national tournament. He was named a team captain during his senior year and was a 1989 All-PSAC and All-ECAC selection.
