Jason Vollertsen enters his 11th season as an assistant at Lebanon Valley College. A 13-year veteran of the high school coaching ranks, Vollertsen continues to bring a wealth of experience to his role working with the defensive line.
In 2010, Vollertsen helped mold one of the MAC’s best defensive lines which included all-America selection Zach Bleiler ’11 and Cory Homer ’12 at defensive end. In 2011, Homer earned all-America honors. Nose tackle Kevin Smith was named First-Team All-MAC in 2012. Most recently, defensive end Andrew Livingston ’16 earned back-to-back All-MAC Honorable Mention nods in 2014 and 2015.Â
From 2000 to 2006, he served as an assistant at Pequea Valley, coaching the offensive line, defensive line, and special teams. He also spent five years (1993-98) as an assistant at Ephrata, where he coached the offensive and defensive lines.
A 1993 graduate of Steven’s Tech (Pa.), he currently works as a teacher in the Pequea Valley School District.Â
