Guy Bennardo is in his 10th season as an LVC assistant in 2014. He serves as the team’s tight ends and assistant offensive line coach, while also handling strength and conditioning duties for the program.
Bennardo has worked with a string of standout tight ends in recent years, notably 2011 all-MAC and all-East selection Matt Mankiewicz ’12.
Before coming to LVC, Bennardo was an assistant coach at Middletown High School, where he performed various roles from 2001-2004 including strength and conditioning coach, defensive coordinator, offensive line coach, and defensive ends coach. Bennardo was also the strength and conditioning coach at Central Dauphin High School from 1999-2000. In addition, he was the assistant coordinator of corporate fitness for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1992-94 and was the head strength and conditioning coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 1991-92.
A 1982 graduate of Juniata College, Bennardo currently works for Central Dauphin as a science teacher, a position he has held since 1999.
