Kasey Shughart became an Assistant Coach for the Lebanon Valley College baseball team before the start of the 2025 season. He primarily works with the program’s outfielders.Â

Shughart joined the coaching staff for the Dutchmen after wrapping up his four-year playing career for Division II Clarion University. As a member of the Golden Eagles, he recorded a .278 batting average and a .332 on-base percentage with 162 hits and 49 walks. Shughart also logged 53 RBIs and hit a pair of home runs. Additionally, the outfielder stole 33 bases in his career, ranking third in Clarion history when he graduated. Shughart was also the program’s single-season leader in games played with 49 and at-bats with 177 when he graduated, while tying for the most games started in a season with 48.Â

Shughart graduated from Clarion in 2024 with a bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies. He was recognized for his academic accomplishments while competing for the Golden Eagles, as he was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team twice and earned a Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award. Shughart was also honored as a Clarion Scholar-Athlete and a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete.Â
