Jared Hatz is the first strength and conditioning coach in the history of Lebanon Valley College. He joined the school in the fall of 2015.
Hatz came to LVC with nearly five years' experience in the strength and conditioning field. His most recent position was at the Westminster School in Simsbury, Conn. where he was the institution's head strength and conditioning coach. His responsibilities included working primarily with the boys' ice hockey, boys' lacrosse, and girls' lacrosse programs while providing instruction to a number of other varsity sports programs.
Hatz has earned numerous professional certifications from a variety of respected health organizations, including NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist certification, USA Weightlifting level 1 certification, certification from CISSN and Precision Nutrition as a sports nutritionist, functional movement screen level 2 certification, and certification from the American Heart Association in CPR & AED and first aid.
Prior to joining the Westminster School, Hatz worked as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he led training sessions with both the men's and women's ice hockey teams and assisted in the administration of nutritional supplements and programming.
He was a strength and conditioning graduate associate at Springfield College until May of 2014 after interning with Northeastern University during the summer of 2013. Hatz got his start as a strength and conditioning coach with E3Sports in June of 2011.
Hatz graduated with his B.S. in kinesiology from SUNY Cortland in 2011 and earned his M.S. in exercise science: strength and conditioning from Springfield in May of 2015.
