ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College field hockey team put together a dominant all-around performance on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Immaculata, 5-0, in non-conference action at Arnold Field in Annville.
The Flying Dutchmen wasted little time taking control, scoring three times in the opening quarter to build an early cushion.
Claire Weidenhammer opened the scoring just 4:21 into the contest, finishing her seventh goal of the season after LVC created pressure in the attacking circle. Weidenhammer knocked in a rebound off a saved shot by
Jillian Tait.
Just over a minute later, Tait doubled the advantage with her second goal of the year as she fired a bullet from just inside the circle.
Abby Rodenberger capped the explosive first-quarter surge with her first goal of the season at the 10:27 mark as she redirected a feed from Weidenhammer into the back of the cage.
The Dutchmen continued to dictate play in the second quarter. Weidenhammer added her second goal of the afternoon midway through the frame to make it 4-0. Later in the quarter,
Alexis Nasuta converted off a penalty corner opportunity, as she knocked in a feed from
Danika Setlock to put LVC up 5-0.
The Dutchmen showcased their depth throughout the second half, rotating a number of players onto the field while continuing to control possession and generate scoring chances. The defense limited Immaculata opportunities and preserved the shutout. The Mighty Macs had a few opportunities to score during the half, but
Ella Weidenhammer stood strong in the cage and knocked the shots away.

- Claire Weidenhammer paced the offense with two goals and one assist, recording a game-high six shots and five shots on goal. She recorded her third multi-goal game of the year and leads the Dutchmen with 19 points.
- Tait scored her second goal of the season and tallied five shots, including three on target.
- Rodenberger scored her first goal of the year and fifth of her career on two shots.
- Nasuta scored her first goal as a Dutchman and fifth of her career.
- Danika Setlock contributed an assist for her first point of the year.
- Ella Weidenhammer earned the shutout in cage, making three saves.
- Lebanon Valley outshot Immaculata 20-4, including 17-0 in the first half.
- The Dutchmen held the advantage in penalty corners 12-5.

LVC will be back in action on Monday, September 21, as they return to Haverford College to finish the suspended game from September 1. The Fords are currently leading 1-0 at halftime. The second half of the game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
