ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley Women's Soccer Head Coach Sunny Gelnovatch has announced the hiring of Abigail Amaya as Assistant Coach.
 
"I am excited to have Abi as part of the program," Gelnovatch stated. "I look forward to the energy and dedication she will bring."
 
Amaya joins the women's soccer staff after spending time as a Youth Soccer Coach for the Philadelphia Union in Chester, Pennsylvania, and as a soccer coach for the Reading Rage Soccer Club in Reading, Pennsylvania. She gained valuable experience at both clubs implementing training sessions and leading camps and clinics.
 
"I am very excited to be a part of such a competitive team," Amaya stated. "I can't wait to see what's in store for this upcoming season!"
 
Amaya is a 2026 graduate of Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Sport Management. She was a member of the Bald Eagles women's soccer team for two seasons as a defender. Amaya earned Dean's List and PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors, was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and was a PSAC SAAC conference representative.  Prior to LHU, she attended Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where she was also a member of the women's soccer team as a defender for one season.
