Women’s Golf Finishes Seventh at MAC Championships

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's golf team battled a cold and windy day to finish seventh out of 11 teams at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Sunday at Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown.
 
Jillian Fidler led the Dutchmen with a top 10 finish as she tied for sixth with a two-day score of 168. York College of Pennsylvania won the team title, recording a 331 on Sunday for a two-day score of 653 to win by 49 strokes. The Spartans had four of the top five golfers in the field, with Victoria Jolakian winning medalist honors by four strokes with a score of 159 after recording a round of 81. Grace Strickland finished second at 163 with a round of 84 on Sunday. Stevenson University was second with a score of 702, while Hood College finished third at 758. Alvernia University finished fourth with a score of 787, Arcadia University was fifth at 806, and Eastern University was sixth with a score of 856. LVC recorded a round of 419 to finish seventh, two strokes back of Eastern, with an 858.
 
Inside the Results
  • Fidler earned her second consecutive top 10 finish at the Championships with a round of 83 on Sunday. She had a great start, recording a birdie on the par-four first hole. She had pars on nine of the next 13 holes and finished tied for sixth. The junior was a three-over 38 on the front nine and recorded a 45 on the back nine.
  • Alexa Pridham finished tied for 27th with a score of 214 after carding a 106 on Sunday. The senior had a 51 on the front nine and a 55 on the back nine. She recorded two pars on the round with a four on the second hole and a three on the 15th hole.
  • Leela Nemani recorded a 110 to finish 38th with a two-day score of 232. The sophomore started strong with pars on the first two holes. She had three pars total on the round, adding a par on the 17th hole. Nemani had a 53 on the front nine and a 57 on the back nine.
  • Anna Tokle carded a 120 to finish 41st at 244. The junior recorded a 61 on the front nine and then had a 59 on the back nine.
